Home in a button factory

This week we present a cool home that was worked up from an old button factory.

The Parisian, industrial styled apartment with several recycled accessories becomes a furnishings inspiration.

In the built concrete kitchen instead the upper cabinets there are open shelves, the botanical pictures, the old letter-decorations, and the hall lamps strengthen even more the industrial atmosphere. Old workshop chairs serve as a bar stool, but as a contrast above the dining table an Art Nouveau chandelier is hanging.

The huge dining table praises the work of the owners, the chairs placed around are vintage pieces, and they were purchased one by one from the local flea market.

In the living room there are the metal and stone coffee tables made by the owner, beside them an IKEA sofa and Eames chairs are mixing. The painting is the creation of the husband.

The work area was placed in the loft, the old handrail is also a flea market treasure, is a cast iron fence element. The wall of the working room is decorated with quotations made from thin wire, and with family photos, records hung up with clips.

In the children’s room the shades of green are dominating, the simple IKEA bed also received color, and the green old garden chair attracts the eye.

The parents’ bedroom and the bathroom is in the same place, the bath paved with concrete, the old wooden chair, the metal wall storages here as well increase the industrial sensation.

With the conservation of the atmosphere of the former factory and with a newsy furnishing, also from this old building the owners managed to conjure up a cozy home.
