In Buda, in the 12th district, in a garden with old trees, it is the interior, two-storey apartment of a three-apartment apartment house. Through a huge, spectacular wooden doors and windows flows the light in the whole apartment.

We can enter in the apartment on a small “bridge”. In the hall industrial explosion-proof lamps provide the light. From here opens a workroom and a laundry room combined with a toilet.

On the filigree desk of the workroom there is a unique, concrete floor lamp, next to it in a special, Viennese, former tool storage can be hidden the little things. In front of the grilled, vintage armchair Balázs Orosz’s picture stands on an Ilse Crawford for Ikea small bench. The door-porter is an old, leather medicine ball.

Arriving up on the oak staircase the stairway is adorned with an old RÁDIÓ/radio inscription. In front of it is visible the completely openable door terrace. Beside the tin-plated, water-resistant table there are black plastic chairs and old, slatted garden chairs. A cheerful, red lamp gives the light.

The dining-living room has an imposing size. The top of the eight-person, iron framed dining table was born from old, Russian boxes. Above it dark blue hall lamps ensure the lighting. White thonet chairs and chairs resembling to Tapiovaara are surrounding it.

In the living room the Andante sofa is thrown up by colorful pillows. In front of it there is a coffee table born from an old trolley. Czech crystal vases, trifles soften the massive wooden surface. On the hand-knotted Beni Ourain soft carpet there are interesting shaped, blue velvet small armchairs. In front of the sofa a nest of drawers facilitates the storage. In an old industrial kitchen cabinet frame we have built solid oak drawers, is a great packing space. Above it there is Gábor Dienes’s contemporary picture. In the living room vintage floor lamps and a many bulbs retro Szarvasi lamp provide enough light.

In the living room was housed a double work area as well. The former butcher’s table is complemented by two, extremely comfortable Castelli upholstered chairs. Beside the two table lamps from the ‘40s an analog photo enlarging can be seen. The living-dining-workroom’s most spectacular element is the old, blue, metal medical cabinet.

From the dining room opens the kitchen and pantry. The simple, IKEA grey kitchen cabinet bottoms are thrown up by metal, strong handles and a 4 cm thick granite counter. The white granite sink easily can be kept clean. Instead of the top cabinets on old, grey shelves can be packed the plates and glasses. All stainless steel machines are brand new pieces.

On the upper floor there are still two big rooms and a bathroom as well.

One of the rooms is the master bedroom. The IKEA mattress is being made special by old, iron headboards. Beside it vintage floor lamps and old, wooden workshop chairs serve as bedsides. In the bedroom you can read on comfortable armchair with footrest, which is re-upholstered with sackcloth. The old, carved Old German chest of drawers is the adornment of the room. Next to it there is a dressing table with copper mirror and thonet chair. The furnishing is spectacularly complemented by the geometric crystal chandelier from the ‘60s. On the one long side of the bedroom along there is built-in white wardrobe.

In the bathroom the black-and-white tiled floor is completed with simple, white tiles. In front of the bath, under the window a unique, solid oak cabinet installation runs along, which absorbs a lot of things. Its top is protected from the water with a white, granite sheet.
