Vintage home in Philadelphia

A young couple set up their style home in an American rowhouse built in 1915.

What could be saved of the house, they kept it. Flooring, windows, they used also the wood as cladding on the occasion of the renovations.

The young couple love markets and they search on online auction sites for new and new treasures, and they affixed the inherited furniture in the interiors.

There is an old map in the hall welcoming the visitor, beneath it there is a homemade bench made of split materials.

One side of the wall in the bathroom was painted board black, so that it is not only waterproof, but also they can draw any motive on it even every month. Above the  sink wall they hung an old mirror, which nicely rhymes with dingy yellow wooden chairs.

The iron bed in the guest bedroom was once in a convent. The wall behind the headboard was made by the owners from the remaining timber resulting from renovations. Just an old wooden ladder breaks the surface.

Old theater chair line connects the kitchen to the rooms, the walls are manually plotted with patterns.

In the kitchen, they put down the plaster and built into it a white, classic shapes cabinet.

In the bedroom all is vintage. Vintage linens, old metal cabinet, the headboard is a shabby white wood door, old maps, retro portraits on the wall.

Grandmother’s chests of drawers figures out in the house, with an old typewriter and  beautiful bound books on it.

The two-seat study room represent two different styles. The brick wall and the shelving made of water pipes is more masculine like, while the pastel walls, small accessories, stand for the feminine style.
