Black-white loft in school building

3 years ago illustrator Asia Gwis moved with her husband (+ cat + dog) in the 80-year-old school building in Poland.

The dominant colors are black and white in the two-story house. The old floor was painted white. The plaster was removed completely in some places, so that the rough paving stones to see, some corners of the wall is covered with old boards.

The white couch in the living room and kitchen are from Ikea, but the diversity of the chairs and the huge mirrors give the room a unique atmosphere.

The cellar door was painted black and serves as a reminder board.

In the bath you find statues of saints inherited from the grandmother and industrial lamps. The shower is covered with black glass mosaic tiles with white concrete.

Textiles from Ikeas decorate the upper floor of the stairwell. An old trunk serves as night table.

At this level we find the work room with a table covered with a wallpaper remembering us the old red-white checkered tablecloths.

Excellent eclectic mix: Ikea, design classic Eames chairs, rustic furniture, statues of saints, all this in a very beautiful building.
