Loft apartment at a former paper plant

The apartment with immense room height was created by a young couple in a former paper plant.

There are no windows, light enters through a skylight, however, there is no darkness. Industrial elements were combined with design pieces of the 1960-‘70’s (e.g. the Arco floor lamp that from Castiglioni) and rustic elements. It is an ingenious solution for vertical storage of bicycles in the hall.

For the neutral colored sofa, they bought colored pillows that are in harmony with the vivid colors of  image series  Earth, located above them. The old wooden coffee table comes belonged to the collection of the architect mother-in-law. On a wall in the living room, they created a unique console which consists of two storage cabinets with drawers and a glass plate. Lithographs hanging above it and old vintage photo cameras and on it there is an old globe and a big bankers lamp.

The table is a former conference table and the vintage orange chairs were once school chairs. The black pipe hanging lamps were designed and made ​​by this young couple. The green windows, hanging on the wall were requested from a nearby dairy farm, which now serve as a facility. The industrial style is softened by the combination of different dried flower arrangements.

Bedroom bed was supported on clay bricks while the walls were left on bricks.
