Family home in a Victorian stable

It is a task full with excitements and opportunities to conjure a sunny home from an old, classically ruined stable. This cottage built in 1890 stored the animals and transport facilities of three adjacent buildings. In 2008, a family of four started to adapt/change to their needs and even a textile studio as well was housed here.

The family’s favorite place is the living room that is located on the central part. Between white beams and columns you can see through the dome to the sky. The natural shaded corner sofa and the comfortable armchairs are liven up by pink puffs and bohemian patterned pillows. Beside the slim reading lamps that ensure the mysterious lightening, the fire that flutters in the stone stove is also a cozy accessory. The room is the cheerful mix of the 60’s and 70’s style and of ethnic patterns.

On one side of the living room opens the TV viewing/watching corner. Here you can relax on comfortable corner sofa. The retro charm of the Lignet Rose sofa and the rigidity of the classical couch are comfortably fitting.

At the former entrance there is the dining room, which during the day can be used for Lego playing and newspaper reading as well. Beside the huge, white table and harmonizing walls there are colorful chairs. The massive chandelier attracts the attention on itself beside the lighter seats. The small wooden sideboard table still carries the sunny atmosphere of the living room, over which the ornamentation as well come into effect.

Darker shades dominate in the kitchen. The graphite grey marble surfaces are fooled by blue bar stools. In front of the dark colors wonderfully predominate the smaller pieces, but commands order as well the prestigious black.

The good-humored style of the children rooms that are located upstairs is thanks to the toys and a few cheerful pieces. Exactly under great architectural elements is it possible to comfortably read and listen to a tale.In the bedroom of the adults dominates a more traditional, clear-out style. In front of the simple double bed also opens an intimate reading section. Here on graceful, metal framed armchairs you can enjoy the peace free of children’s playing.

The studio is located in a built-in section. Among the many eye catching textiles the concrete foundations and mature wooden table emit tranquility.
