Eclectic Dutch house on the barrier

Invalid Displayed Gallery

This private house is laying on a typical Dutch landscape, on the top of an embankment. The new residents connected the ancient house and the building that once was functioning as a barn.

The raw, traditional character is emphasized by several elements, such as the wood-paneled corridor. The beautiful kitchen table of the concrete floor kitchen was put at its actual place from a workshop and is covered with rust and paint spots. Beside the sturdy piece white kitchen furniture serve for the storage of the kitchen utensils. Next to huge, white dining table there are upholstered and wood chairs.

After a sliding wooden door we get out on the corridor decorated with special wallpaper. Here you can sit on a metal framed bench covered with wooden slats, which is decorated by a vintage chest with carved antelope head weights.

In the former barn was housed the living room. Under the wooden beams big windows let in the sunlight. A simple, grey sofa set stands in the center. On the cream-colored folkweave a three-legged stool and white small tables serve as a coffee table. As decoration we can see lots of plants and a metal letter equipped with bulbs. The clearness of the furnishing in front of the grey wall is underlined also by a striking, white cabinet.

Also the bedrooms located in the attic gorgeously combine the simple and eye-catching elements. In the room covered with white strip floor we can see an already familiar cabinet. In the corner stands an old table, on which time has left its mark.

The bathroom’s metal washbasin was converted from industrial lavatory. The towel holder screw solution is really imaginative.

In the clear-out interior beside the pale colors and striking furniture appear exciting structural elements. In the airy spaces 1-1 character, industrial piece draws the attention to itself.
