Industrial style home from a summer house

At Sweden’s rocky coasts is hiding this family house that was converted from a summer hut. The interior designer owner transformed into a home with incredible creativity and ingenuity. The magnificent landscapes, to huge built-up old balcony and the original furniture, make cozy and rustic our current Curiosity.

The home’s center, the kitchen, is mostly furnished with IKEA furniture. The built-in stainless steel kitchen counter is covered with dingy glazed Portugal tile. Red brick wall is breaking the bright space, on which was assembled a wine rack formed from steel and iron. The welded steel framed dining table’s wooden tab had been carved from a block from the 1700s, is a massive and impressive piece. The chairs, forming a contrast with this, are soft lined, easy Eames and Thonet chairs. The welded copper ceiling light complements beautifully the other steel furniture.

The most intimate part is the book corner that is situated behind the dining table. Above the large bookcase placed hammock guarantees the relaxed and intimate moments.

From the bright living room there is a beautiful view to the Swedish landscape. The roller wooden coffee tables were covered with glass. On the walls almost didn’t leave empty space, everywhere fine art creations can be seen, these in color are harmonizing with the other decorative elements and amplify the special vibration of the room. The neutral colors and materials, such as the white sofa set, the rattan chairs, impart a fresh and bright atmosphere. The vintage commode originating from France and the decorative elements made from bone and rattan are stimulating the environment with their crudity.

The bedrooms evoke the atmosphere of a rural idyll. The natural colors and base materials here also are in excess. It takes a little dash of color between the blue bedding and neutral nuances.

The terrace extends into the garden, which includes a vegetable garden as well. The shabby chairs are originating from a castle’s garden. Their bleached by the sun condition harmonizes with the wood floor and the lassitude of the summer sunshine.
