Industrial style in a paper shop

Invalid Displayed Gallery

In a recently opened Budapest paper shop (www.bomoart.hu) worn, serious industrial pieces store the exclusive products. The atmosphere of the postcards and wrapping papers that portray the world of the nostalgic, turn of the century Budapest are highlighted by the vintage furniture of artKRAFT (www.artkraft.hu). In the course of the interior’s shaping it was an authoritative aspect that the upscale materials have to be surrounded by special, gritty pieces.

Next to the postcards and romantic boxes there is an old, university oak cabinet with sliding doors. Premium, leather bound books lie on the antique-legged, collapsible, civil dining table. A floor lamp compiled from a former reflector and measuring instruments and an accordion lamp originating from the GDR illuminate the space.

The melancholy charm of the ancient atmosphere is highlighted by the dingy, retro suitcases and the typewriter originating from the last century. The Hanau medical floor lamp evokes the world of the turn of the century workrooms. The dreamer tone of the happy times of peace is complemented by the tarnished file holder.

On the glass door shelves of a counter made from demolished wood and iron there are notebooks covered with Budapest maps and craft boxes. The striking furniture characteristically surrounds the papers illustrated with watercolor technique.
