Open and modern factory building

How can look like the conversion to home of a 250 m2, dusty, industrial building? Well, even like this as well, this English warehouse today is the special mixture of private, familial and common, entertainment spaces. The living room was housed upstairs, under the glass roof, while the rooms with lonelier function on the first floor.

On the attic’s huge, central part we can see a sunny living room. On one side the clear-out space is framed by a white brick wall, but all the other sides are bordered by a glass wall. In the space that creates the sense of openness the grass green floor covering also helps to have a garden effect. Just two simple benches, a table and metal chairs stay as furnishings. In the living room that is also garden – like we can see a planted tree as well. Moving the sliding doors we can enter into another living room. In the room bordered with flat ceiling a modern interior unfolds before us. The furniture is shining in grey and brown shades. Almost futuristic, geometric lined objects are lined up side by side. The decoration as well emphasizes a clear-out, contemporary design.

Two bedrooms are connected by a striking bridge above the dining room. In the bedroom worn beams and metal framed windows ensure the industrial details. Beside the robust structure there is no need for special furniture, the minimal style fits here.

In the kitchen and dining room as well, beside the shattered columns white brick walls and concrete surface dominate. Around the marble sheet-topped kitchen counter there are only the heightened, black seats and on a comfortable sofa you can drink the coffee. The dining table’s strong, wooden surface is highlighted by armchairs matching in style.

The designers renovated the unused, neglected warehouse that has unique endowments in such way that the industrial structure remained and was placed in the center. Thanks to the modernization creative solutions and an elegant interior welcome the new residents.
