Rustic loft from Spain

This Madrid “casa” functions as a creative studio, shop and sometimes as a restaurant as well. This week we explore the secrets of its versatility!

The 140 m2, open-plan loft is industrial styled, the factory aspect of its metal framed windows is softened with wood floor and romantic indoor plants. In the center can be seen a 19th century armchair crossed with burlap, above it with modern and fresh photo creation. The vintage atmosphere is enhanced by the sofa originating from the ‘50s and by the retro small tables as well.

The dining room is the paradise of the salvaged furniture. It can be seen here a plastic chair from the LA Studio, rattan chairs originating from the 1910s and Mmesa’s industrial, rusted pieces as well. The massive dining table arrived in the apartment from a Beijing flea market.

The working-corner’s decoration that is in front of the window is the black and white, Moroccan carpet. The desk is customized wooden furniture, completed with the already familiar rattan chair.

In the bedroom continues the deployment of the recycled, retro furniture. The cabinets are originating from the ‘20s, while the metal, colorful chandelier from the middle of the last century. It is an exciting and simple completion the paint stripe that extends from the headboard to the wall. This is not the only art reference, in the bathroom we can see drawings inspired by Keith Haring.
