Small urban studio

The now presented apartment in our Weekly Curiosity column is the perfect combination of the industrial elements: raw brick walls, metal structures and purchased furniture from here and there. The living room, American kitchen and the dining are situated in the same space and are covered with resin floor. The huge windows are decorated with simple linen curtains.

The living room’s massive, comfortable and eye catching piece is the vintage Chesterfield leather sofa and the armchair that belongs to it. This’ opposite is the small table, which was born from a simple and cheap wooden box. We can see simple, but special elements, as the old easel and a surgical lamp hanging from the ceiling. On the couch lambskins and kilim-pillows make the space even more intimate.

In the background can be seen a desk that was transformed from a huge joiner bench, beside it there is an original Eames black upholstered chair. The tarnished workshop table is complemented by similar atmosphere old suitcases, which function as a paper holder.

The American kitchen is limited by a simple, white tile covered bar counter. The pots and other kitchen tools are hold by a narrow, long wooden shelf, in turn some glasses fit in the open suitcase as well that is attached to the wall. The lampshades of the elegant, unique copper framed lamp give the charm of the ‘30s to the furnishing. To this rhymes the industrial styled, unique sink faucet.

In the dining corner again was placed a real specialty, they transformed an old, industrial table into a dining table. On one side there is a leather gym bench that fits to it and on the other side, metal office chairs.

The vintage furniture that is placed in small groups combined with a 1-1 special industrial piece avoids the small apartment’s overcrowding.
