Art deco loft in France

The facade of the Post Office built in 1932 is richly decorated and its lead windows come to view from afar. Interior mosaics and graceful wood ornaments frame the interior.

The decorated glass windows of the wood framed doors are in line with the floor’s pattern. The eye-catching details are highlighted by pastel, light furniture. Soft, turquoise armchairs and pink cushioned seats dampen the isolation of the cabins.

The original tables are surrounded by simple, small chairs. As some counterpoints metal framed, retro tables rise.

The former server’s counter covered with marble now functions as a huge kitchen island.

In front of it, bar stools and two simple, adjoining dining tables constitute the dining room. Beige lamps hang over the black wooden chairs.

In the bedroom straight lines dominate against the living room’s curlicues. In the turquoise room there is a gray double bed, which is complemented by bohemian textiles.

It is given a lavish, picturesque environment, which, however is not homelike. The old, functional spaces have been transformed with some practices into exciting housing parts.
