Industrial loft in a historic framework

Our Weekly Curiosities column’s protagonist is an apartment that is located in the historic part of the town, which is furnished with industrial and rustic elements.

At the restoration was left the house’s tarnished, old frame, but made it more exciting with several modern elements. The white walls edges and the windows frames were made contrasty with black ledges.

In the dining room located big dining table consists of thick wood planks, which are supported by old iron pilings. The cast iron seats and the wireframe chandelier are well suited to the industrial atmosphere. On the sideboards re-appears the dining table’s roughly elaborated wooden surface, on its top again we can see African craft objects.

A smaller dining area can be found in the kitchen. Here to the metal table leg old bicycle seats are fastened, on its other side a rail pad is located.

In the hall the African atmosphere is mixed. Tribal patterned carpet and tapestry decorate this temporary sitting area. The combination of the two armchairs and small table are rectilinear, raw, massive wooden pieces, without any decoration.

In the flight of stairs placed private library is really stylish. To the custom-made bookshelves a rustic wooden ladder is attached.

On the upper story there are the bedrooms and bathrooms. In the children’s play room again we can see an industrial, wheeled table, next to it with old bench and unique wide wooden chairs.

The most spacious bathroom is a real specialty. The wash-room was born from old water pipes and rustic boarding, on its top with white wash-bowls.
