REVAMPED LOFT FROM AN OLD TAXI GARAGE

This week we present in more detail a cold, character concrete walls bounded building that once functioned as a taxi garage. The industrial styled structure’s severity is broken by fine arts decorations and a lot of accessories came from far.

Entering through the front door we can find a simple kitchen corner. The built-in kitchen cabinet is thrown up by wooden surfaces.

In the dining room you can have a snack from a modern dining table, where the wall is decorated with funny letterings and bohemian photographs made on trips. The simple lamps conjure a hint of retro atmosphere into the space, to which fits well the huge, flower-patterned bulkhead.

Beside the dining room is overlooking the living room. The opened room is illuminated by the sunlight that streams in through the big, industrial windows. In the center on a weave there is a leather corner sofa and a coffee table. The armchairs that create a contrast with the noble materials are the striking points of the furnishing. The futuristic floor lamp and the papier mache chandelier represent an additional style shade. The sofa set is decorated by exotic and oriental handicrafts.

From the living room wooden stairs lead up to the first floor, where we can see first the workroom. In the clear-out office only the most necessary furnishing, a white cabinet, a desk and a chair were housed.

In the bedrooms as well dominate the minimalist atmosphere. Above the double bed that stands in front of a rattan back-rest we can see only a special lamp and a framed drawing as decorative elements. The light blue door and bed-sheet are splash of colors among the neutral shades.

In the other bedroom beside a pull-out sofa can be seen a metal floor lamp and an orange papier-mache pendant lamp. It had been managed to shape in a small space surrounded by industrial elements an exciting, but yet minimalist interior.
