Rock ‘n roll in an eclectic American loft

Invalid Displayed Gallery

Scandinavian coldness, the dark charm of the ‘70s and rich plant samples are mixed in this New York loft. It was built at the beginning of the last century and among the iron plates and columns of a typical factory building lays an imaginative loft apartment inspiring from a wide variety of styles.

In the open space in the first place the living room pops up. The natural material of the strip floor is highlighted in a marked way by the zebra leather carpet, the meticulously elaborated pull-out small table and the Chesterfield sofa. The other piece of the sofa set is covered by a striking patterned cover. The dark material fits well with the graphite grey column, while its small pattern is in harmony with the overall impact of the plenty of wall pictures.

White walls and beams, as well as the influx of sunlight through the huge industrial windows illuminate the dark furniture. The kitchen corner shines in a steely glittering. Beside the column, holes up a kitchen counter that is reminiscent of an old bar counter, in front with vintage bar chairs. Behind the masculine ensemble there are contrasting, white tiles and stainless steel kitchen furniture.

A small library and a reading corner as well were housed next to the living room. Here, however, white painted wooden plates and plant ornamented wallpaper covers the wall. To the melancholic shaping fit well the antique desk with many drawers and the similar shaded bookshelf. A funny patterned armchair conjures a retro charm in the interior.

The real character of the bedroom is given by the meeting of the wood elements and the sinister atmosphere wallpaper decorated with sprawling plant design. Above the wooden framed double bed light paintings relieve the gloomy mood.

The bathrooms clear-lined, stringent elements emphasize the industrial style.

A variety of mood/atmosphere, color, pattern and piece of furniture are mixed in this loft. The special oneness of the harmony is given by the inventive coordination, melodiousness of the unusual accessories and industrial forms.
