Summer house next to Berlin

Invalid Displayed Gallery

This summer house serves as a cool shelter near the hurried metropolis, Berlin. The owners longing for relaxation can rest the weekdays fatigues between white stone walls, on vintage furniture. In the industrial-style interior we can admire Polish, Czech and Danish pieces.

On the worn strip floor of the dining room there is a red-foot, roller, wooden dining table, which is complemented by simple wooden benches. Beside the white, built-in litchen cabinet that can be seen in the corner, there are large kitchen acid resistant preparatory counters. Due to the absence of the top cabinet the space remained airy.

Accordion lamp, retro ceiling light, visible industrial switches decorate the room.

Passing through on a vaulted hall we run into a black, vintage display cabinet, which functions as wine storage. On a Safari leather chair, beside a big, three-legged console table you can enjoy a glass of wine. On the small alcove corners of the hallway, beside the windows we can find chatting areas/rooms, where next to the last century Czechoslovak small table you can sit down on armchairs that fit there.

The living room’s floor and arches as well are covered with pale yellow bricks. The non-figurative carpet that evokes the 1950s and ’60s, also in this space determines the retro atmosphere. The ceramics and paintings placed on the walls also emphasize this style. A Danish black sofa stands next to the dining room. To this rhymes the teak sideboard that is opposite. There are striking points in this part the floor and ceiling, geometric lamps! The re-appearing red and green color spots and the contemporary picture smuggle a dash of bohemian atmosphere in the interior.

On the pleasant terrace  Eames chairs and light rattan armchairs form a large part of the interior.

The matching, retro furniture and accessories create a harmonious unit. However, the real specialty is, the medieval age evoking, rigid frame placement of the middle of the 20th century distinctive colors and pieces.
