The amazing transformation of a French mill

This French loft received as legacy an uncomfortable structure and many industrial details. Seeing the clear-out, minimalist interior, we would not think that a couple of years ago not a very idyllic sight was in front of the visitors’ eyes.

In the main building were centered the dining room, the living room and the bedroom spaces. Beside the dried wooden beams metal staircases and the dark enamel lampshade of the factory lamps is shining. More traditional pieces dominate the dining room. The puritan, wooden dining table is surrounded by dark brown chairs. In an impressive, massive antique cabinet and in a similarly styled display cabinet are gathered the kitchen utensils.

Under a metallic glittered gallery is located the kitchen corner. The simple furniture is closed by a graceful, dark desk.

In the living room a black sofa and armchairs further enhance the contrast of black and white shades. Astounding, iron dressing cabinets and a harp as well received place here, this way the industrial and classical elements also directly were put next to each other.

At the top of the gallery it can be observed the harmony of the again calm diffusing instrument and comfortable sofa.

In the bedroom off-white chest of drawers are standing. In the sunny room the vintage charm dominates.

Here you can step into the other part of the building. In the spacious hall under a retractable roof a semi-open garden received its place. Beside unobtrusively table and chairs concrete circumscribed flower beds and a vine-arbor decorate. Oriental patterns “return the greeting” on the special pendant lamps.

A rustic, comfortable interior rises out of the silent walls. The contrast of colors, materials and styles is melted in the industrial furnishing.
