How does it happen to be put a prayer seat in the living room?

In Brooklyn can be found this classic styled built family house.

The center of the house is the living room, where can be seen many stylishly assorted pieces of furniture and accessories. It gives an industrial character the small table converted from an old sorter, on it the TV, behind which we can see also a piece from the décor of the Philadelphia Theater. Catch the eye the yellow retro armchairs as well, which resemble to Ligne Roset’s Pumpkin armchair.

Represents a more classical style the beautiful carpet, the stone fireplace and the Chesterfield sofa. Smuggles industrial atmosphere next to the venerable pieces the metal landfill cabinet that is beside the sofa and the „Brooklyn bridge” labeled metro board and the big metal watch. There are not ordinary decorations the pictures on the wall that were made from card sheets.

In one of the corners we can see a prayer bench originating from a former synagogue, behind which a bookshelf patterned wallpaper runs up on the wall. With a cast iron footed table and two Thonet natured chairs it became a friendly setback.

In the other corner there is a small home office, which was furnished in the style of the ’60s, the mirror and the typewrite and the tarnished leather bag counts as real ancientry. In the space there is even a small work area, where the table from 1909 was found in an antique shop, beside it there is a design classic Stoll-styled wooden chair from the age of the Bauhaus.

The curiosity of the kitchen is the ceiling transom window. Further special solution is the funny patterned, bright wallpaper around the arch. Between the built-in cabinet and the white subway tiles excels only the black board that is used as a message board.

Also in the simple, wooden-floored bedroom the predominant color is the white. The small vintage cabinets that can be seen beside the beds, were renovated by the owner with his own hands. The metal medical cabinet that can be seen in the corner of the bedroom arrived in the house from the flea market.

The several light-colored vintage furniture create a graceful and airy style, all these are broken by the industrial styled, astounding pieces, in turn the harder, more tarnished pieces of furniture smuggle elegancy into the furnishing.
